Momfessionals Show & Tell: Let Me Introduce Myself
Hi y'all! Today I'm linking up with Momfessionals for Show & Tell Tuesday! We are re-introducing ourselves and talking about any resolutions we have made for the new year! So if you are new here, welcome to my little space of the Internet! If you have been here awhile, welcome back!
I'm Mandi!! I live in a little town in Wild, Wonderful West Virginia with my husband and 3 girls. First, and most importantly, I am a Christian. I love Star Wars, Apple products, reading, going to the movies, and photography. I've been with my college sweetheart for 13 years and our 10 year wedding anniversary is next month!! He is my best friend and I wouldn't want to do life with anyone else!!
We have 3 girls, Addie (8yo), Baylie (6yo) and Callie (1yo). I am blessed to be a stay at home mom but have my Masters in Teaching. I currently own a small photography business and enjoy shooting sessions as my time allows. My husband, Glen, is a Mechanical and Aerospace Engineer and currently works with a company that is contracted with NASA. Yeah, he has a fun job. 😉
Callie is our baby. She is such a joy and might just be a little spoiled. She is the most laid back, happy baby. Until she is told "no" and then she puckers up and cries. We are all so blessed by her.
Baylie is my curly haired, wild child. She loves fiercely but in the same turn can give me a run for my money! She is my little mommy and is always there to help me in anything I need. She's smart and sassy and opinionated and kind. I love her more then she will ever know.
Our oldest daughter Addie is one of the sweetest, most loving kids you will ever meet. She has been through more then a lot of kids in her short 8 years but we are blessed because in the end she is happy and healthy. She is diagnosed with Apraxia (a condition where the signals get lost from the brain to the muscles, which causes speech and motor skill delays) , Sensory Processing and ADHD. At other points in her short life she has been diagnosed with hearing loss (she wore hearing aids for 2 years and then at 5 they told us she had perfect hearing!!) and also petit mal seizures for 2 years (we just had another EEG in Nov and her scans came back 100% clean and she is seizure free.) She had been put under 9 times in 6 years for various procedures. And there are so many things I haven't even touched on. But, the thing we want her to know more then any diagnosis is that God is bigger then anything we've come up against. She is not defined by her diagnosis. God has a big plan for her life and I am here to be her biggest cheerleader.
Our church's word for the year is GREATER and I have decided to adopt it as my own personal word this year. I am believing for greater in my walk with Him, greater in my photography business, greater in my marriage, greater for my girls, greater financially, GREATER in all aspects.
Thanks for stopping by my page! My goal for the year is to be consistent in updating my blog this year! I would love for you to stick around! I'm also on Instagram, which is my favorite form of social media, @mandirenee, so go find me there!
Happy New Year everyone!!
Stopping in from the link-up! I love your blog design :) I'm working on my masters for speech-pathology and work with CAS. I LOVE your attitude about her "diagnosis". You go, mama! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's hard some day's but we serve a big God that is working big things for her life! =)

DeleteBeautiful girls! I have family in Lewisburg and we love the slower pace when compared to Northern Virginia. Nice to "meet" you! http://smialeklife.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI really love WV. I've visited other places but this is home for sure. It would be so hard to move somewhere else, especially somewhere more fast paced. =)
DeleteBeautiful family! So glad to have found you today :)
